We are cooking up some winter fun !! Our new "Groovy Girls" club and the always popular Moda Club are in full swing. "Groovy Girls" is based on Terry Atkinson's fun patterns - she has a whole new approach that will make the club experience fresh and exciting. Our Moda Club focuses on the Kansas Troubles Stash Society program, and each month we'll feature a cute new project. Our next meeting for each will be held on Jan. 10, 2012. Groovy Girls meets at 10:00 or 6:00, and Moda Club meets at 11:00 or 7:00. Come see what it's all about!!! It's not too late to join!! |
A new group is forming to work on the "Madrigal" quilt! One Monday a month, anyone interested in working together on this beautiful pattern is welcome to join. The next meeting is Monday, Feb. 20, so give us a call if you'd like to sew along. There is no class fee - just something delicious to share for lunch.

Bernina News Flash: Bernina's 300 series machines continue to impress!!!! We are loving these sleek, updated portable machines, and so will you. Come in to see our newest additions to the lineup. Just ask to see the B330, the B350 PE, and the B380! Another popular Bernina model is the Artista 635 limited edition. She has the body of an Artista 630, but she's had a facelift!!! She comes with a jazzy, contemporary "skin" that can be replaced with other skins, even one made from one of your photos! This machine has great features and stitches and a color touch screen- it's one of our favorites! |
Pictured is a "French Roses" quilt made with "Lovely" by Moda!! Kits are still available! We have some wonderful new Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, a new Four Corners apron featuring a Moda line of fabric with a coffee theme.

"Saturday Sampler"
The new Saturday Sampler series began on April 2, 2011 with two new, delicious color themes - "Autumn in the Vineyard", a combination of rich fall colors like rusts, purples, green, golds, and creams; and "Cappuccino", wonderful neutrals like creams, beiges, golds, browns, and blacks!! You will love them both!! You can still sign up for any of our three sessions, 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. Click on the link for the Saturday Sampler to find out how the program works!!
Classes !!!! We will soon be posting our new class schedule for the winter months. Stay tuned for lots of creative fun! We'll be offering another session on the Bernina Cutwork Software and Tool. The "Cutting Garden" class, an amazing fusible applique technique with free motion stitching details, features the designs of Melinda Bula. It will be offered again soon. You NEED to take this class! With the 'Lil Twister tool, you can make charm squares into these adorable tessellating pinwheels!!! It's easy and addicting!!!
Another great class - a repeat by request - is the "Cutting Garden Quilt", a design by Melinda Bula. Fusible applique is combined with lots of free motion stitching to create beautiful flowers! This two part class will be offered again soon.
